Carter, driven by a desire to join the problem rather than simply reporting it, pursued a legal career. He has brought his research and writing as a journalist, as well as his native sense of justice and dedication to the service that led him to the journalist. While studying at University of Texas at the Law School, Carter was a classmate at the prestigious National Security and Human Rights Clinic and graduated with honors.
